Meet Guided Breakouts: Comparing MaestroConference Video Vs. Zoom

Video Breakout Capabilities for Remote Collaboration
Reading Time: 9 minutes

If you are trying to engage a dozen or hundreds of people online AND interactively, all at once, you’re probably using virtual breakout rooms. Since that’s our specialty, we want to highlight and compare MaestroConference Video vs. Zoom breakouts.

As you might have seen, we polled zoom breakout users (500+ people responded, 200+ surveys submitted and still counting) about their biggest frustrations with zoom breakouts, and found that our platform already addresses 9 ½ of the top 10 concerns raised (with 9 already done, and the last one- customizable, visual timers- in development).

And an even more dramatic difference between zoom breakouts vs. MaestroConference Video is perhaps the crowning jewel for engaging many parallel groups, our new “Guided Breakouts.”  This newest feature (which no other platform offers) can be used to guide each breakout group through a sequence of questions, activities, or video instructions as designed and programmed by the host in advance. (So, no more “what was the question again?” in your participant breakouts.)

Let’s first take a look at the top 10 complaints that Zoom breakout users have expressed, and how MaestroConference Video compares, and then we’ll introduce you to Guided Breakouts.

7 Creative Ways To Make Your Next Webinar Engaging & Memorable

webinar

Reading Time: 7 minutesI’ve attended too many webinars to ever give a precise count. Like anything else, there were those that were engaging and interesting and there were, of course, others that were rather boring, predictable and even suspicious.

First, let’s go over the typical flow of most webinars. To make things interesting, we’ll start at the very top:

  1. Sensational ads are plastered over social media and other platforms promoting the event.
  2. As the day of the event inches closer, visions of grandeur are promised. Ads are shown more frequently with increasingly aggressive reminders.
  3. As the event starts, unbelievable promises are made.
  4. During the event, the host imparts information that seems to be leading up to something.
  5. Closer to the end you see how the tips/techniques were actually part of a larger, more important, limited product that you can get at a “ridiculous bargain.”

Bottom line: most webinars are done for the obvious and single purpose of selling a product. In general, this approach tends to lead to suspicion and low engagement with participants.

Delivering an engaging, dynamic webinar that captivates your audience is not easy. However, if you think creatively, you can distinguish yourself as an authority and present webinars that captivate and enthrall.
